Our School

Hutton Cranswick CP School is situated on the village green in the middle of the village of Hutton Cranswick. As the name suggests, this settlement is made up of two communities; Hutton to the north, and Cranswick to the south. However, a school on the same site has served both for over a hundred and thirty years. We are very much a village school with close links with local churches and businesses.

The school currently has 131 pupils on roll. Most of our pupils live in Hutton Cranswick, but we do have some pupils from Driffield and surrounding hamlets and farms, together with one or two from further afield. About a third of our recent intakes are from outside the village.

The school is welcoming and friendly with all members of staff contributing to a caring ethos. We are big enough to be able to provide education in separate year groups and cater for different interests, yet small enough to know our pupils as individuals.
