One of the key day to day tasks of any teacher involves assessing what children have learnt, what they need to learn next and how their teaching can impact on that process in the greatest possible way. Below is a presentation given to parents in February 2016 to summarise national changes and how we are, as a school, dealing with life after levels.
How does it work every day for children?
The two documents below show the targets we have in the front of each child's book - one writing and one maths. These are highlighted when covered, teacher assessed on FLiC. and then re-assessed in independent tasks and summative tests.
What will it look like to parents in a nutshell?
The last document below is an overview of how we are assessing children's progress in school, and you you will know where your child stands in terms of their own progress through each year groups set of learning objectives.
