Learning and curriculum

At Hutton Cranswick CP School we offer a broad and balanced curriculum which is designed to enable all pupils to achieve their full potential. We are committed to high standards in all subject areas and place great importance on developing children as independent thinkers and learners who have high self-esteem and self-confidence. We aim to teach children the key skills that will equip them to learn throughout their school life and beyond.

We understand that children have different learning styles and endeavour to identify these as early as possible. Teachers ensure that their pupils access opportunities to learn in their preferred style through varying teaching styles and learning experiences.

From September 2014, the National Curriculum in primary schools changes. We will soon publish on here our autumn term curriculum for all year groups. For more information on the new National Curriculum, click here.
